Colten Westfelt, a primary marksmanship instructor with Weapons and Field Training Battalion, recieves the Navy and Marine Corps Medal during a ceremony on Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Oct. 10, 2025, for his life saving actions during a car accident. The Navy Marine Corps Medal is the highest non-combat decoration awarded by the Department of the Navy to sailors and Marines who have performed acts of heroism outside of direct conflict.
