Both a mountain and a mobility operational detachment - alpha, ODA, trained alongside members of the U.S. Marine Corps 1st Marine Division and United Arab Emirates Presidential Guard, UAE-PG, which provided them with realistic problems to navigate complex terrain in both mounted and dismounted movements. The ODA’s training highlights included training the partner force in fixed line and rappelling techniques, an 1,100 foot high angle rescue mission, and a night raid.
