U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Thomas B. Savage, right, the commanding general of 1st Marine Division, holds a Dronebuster Counter-Small Unmanned Aircraft System (C-sUAS) during an operation in San Diego, Calif., Oct. 22, 2025. Maj. Gen. Savage conducted a site visit of Marine forces deployed to the southern border under Joint Task Force-Southern Border to observe their operational integration with JTF-SB Soldiers and U.S. Border Patrol (USBP), as well as engage with Marines, Sailors, Soldiers, and USBP Agents. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
