WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 22, 2025) — U.S. Army Sgt. Tomika Hope, assigned to the 284th/285th Field Feeding Team, supports Joint Task Force–District of Columbia during the D.C. Safe and Beautiful mission in Washington, D.C., Oct. 22, 2025. In this role, her team provides four meals a day to service members supporting the mission. As a traditional Guardsman, she also works as a customer service agent with American Airlines in Jackson, Mississippi. This is her first time in Washington, D.C.
“The best part of the mission is seeing the different units and how we all come together,” said Hope. “Meeting new people and being able to talk about our differences is really nice. Even though some aren’t happy about our being here, we are on their side, and want to protect the people here.”
