 
                
            CARIBBEAN SEA (Sept. 8, 2025) Chief Operations Specialist Adrian Mares, craft master of Assault Craft Unit 4, presents the landing craft unit 1662 to Gen. Dan Caine, chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, during his visit to the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS Fort Lauderdale (LPD 28). Fort Lauderdale is underway with the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group on their scheduled deployment in the U.S. Fourth Fleet area of responsibility. U.S. Naval Forces Southern Command/U.S. 4th Fleet is the trusted maritime partner for Caribbean, Central and South America maritime forces leading to improved unity, security and stability.
