U.S. Soldiers with Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB) perform aerial deterrence operations in a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter near Ajo, Ariz., Sept. 25, 2025. Aerial deterrence is achieved by swiftly deploying troops and equipment to critical, often remote locations, to deter potential threats and uphold security in the area.
