NPS students and faculty also supported the U.S. Navy exercise Trident Warrior 2025, with advanced manufacturing (AM) teams onsite in San Diego, on board U.S. Navy ships, and from the school’s AM lab on the NPS campus in Monterey, Calif. U.S. Navy Lt. Jennifer Fairbrother, submarine officer and recent NPS graduate, supervised the team at the NPS lab and helped conduct hands-on training sessions for visiting service members producing real-world parts, including a unique part for the shipboard Close-in Weapon System used for defense against threats closest to the ship.
