Sailors assigned to Littoral Combat Ship Squadron (LCSRON) One, participate in suicide prevention and Sexual Assault Prevention and Response virtual reality training provided by Afloat Training Command, Sept. 23, 2025. The training places Sailors in realistic, interactive training scenarios intended to provide near-real life experience in intervention in critical issues by using fully immersive VR technology, integrating professional actors and artificial intelligence to create dynamic, responsive training environments. LCSRON One oversees all operational and administrative tasking for 17 independently assigned LCS. The ships integrate with joint, combined, manned and unmanned teams to support forward-presence, maritime security, sea control, and deterrence missions around the globe.
