U.S. Air National Guard Lt. Col Michael Armstrong, a pilot in the 103d Operations Group, is sprayed with champagne by happy family and friends as he completes his final ‘fini-flight’ aboard the C-130 Hercules, East Granby, Connecticut, Sept. 20, 2025. The fini-flight is a long-standing tradition that invites family and friends to celebrate the culmination of an aviator’s career. Armstrong shared this celebration with Maj. Michael Jacoby, Maj. Jarrett Gran, and Master Sgt Michael Baycura, flight crew with the 103d Operations Group.
