U.S. Marine Corps Chief Warrant Officer 2 Phillip Rea, an Ohio native, expeditionary airfield services officer, with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 373, Marine Air Control Group 38, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, utilizes a dynamic cone penetrometer while surveying an assault landing zone during Weapons and Tactics Instructor course 1-26 at Landing Zone Hawkeye, near Wellton, Arizona, Sept. 18, 2025.
