The “Cpl. Robert J. Arrotta” trophy staged before being presented to the winning team of the Fire Support Battalion, 11th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, company fire support team competition at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, California, Sept. 19, 2025. The trophy is titled the “Robert J. Arrotta” award to pay homage to the U.S. Marine Corps veteran for his actions in the battle for Khe Sanh. Cpl. Arrotta used a PRC-41 UHF radio to put him in direct contact with the attack pilots where he personally controlled over 200 air strikes without the aid of a Tactical Air Controller; his peers gave him the title of "The Mightiest Corporal in the World."
