Republic of Singapore Defense Minister Dr. Ng Eng Hen, right, and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan Greenert are given a tour of the littoral combat ship USS Freedom (LCS 1) by the gold crew commanding officer Cmdr. Timothy Wilke. Greenert joined the defense minister as well as the Republic of Singapore chief of defense force and chief of navy for the tour after holding an all-hands call with the ship's crew to discuss the importance the new platform will play in meeting the current and future challenges of maritime security and defense.
