U.S. Army 1st Lt. Kevin Cho, with 89th Military Police Brigade, assigned to Joint Task Force-Southern Border (JTF-SB), gets secured to a safety cable in San Diego, Calif., Sept. 12, 2025. The safety cable secured the Soldier’s before descending into the tunnel by preventing injury from falling down the tunnel shaft. JTF-SB executes full-scale, agile, and all-domain operations in support of U.S. Customs and Border Protection to protect the territorial integrity of the United States and achieve 100% operational control of the southern border.
