Gregg Sturdevant, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing assistant wing commander, begins pre-flight checks on an MV-22B Osprey before taking his final flight with 3rd MAW, aboard Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, Calif., May 14. Sturdevant began his career as a CH-46E Sea Knight pilot, then transitioned to the Osprey as the Marine Corps began transitioning away from the Sea Knights.
