YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 16, 2025) — Charge book vessels and covers sit on the stage prior to the Chief Petty Officer Pinning Ceremony onboard Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka (CFAY). Held at the installation’s Fleet Theater, 5 Sailors assigned to CFAY, along with 6 assigned to tenant commands at the installation, made the rank of chief petty officer. For more than 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services in support of the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
