Illinois Army National Guard Maj. David Wachtveitl discusses the upcoming Command Post Exercise (CPX) with Egyptian Army Lt. Col. Mahmoud Eldeeb on Sept. 3 during Bright Star 25 at Mohamed Naguib Military Base, Egypt. The two officers will work in the Joint Operations Cell during the CPX. Wachtveitl is also the Illinois National Guard’s Bright Star 25 project officer. The exercise brings together forces from across the globe, underscoring the United States' enduring commitment to working alongside Egypt and partner nations to strengthen collective security and promote regional stability.
