U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Owen Schreiber, executive officer of Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 169, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, presents a UH-1Y Venom helicopter to members of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force with 1st Combat Helicopter Unit, Western Army Aviation Group, at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Okinawa, Japan, Sept. 11, 2025. The meeting was held to discuss the upcoming exercise Resolute Dragon 25, an annual bilateral exercise in Japan that strengthens the command, control, and multi-domain maneuver capabilities of U.S. Marines in III Marine Expeditionary Force and Japan Self-Defense Force personnel, with a focus on controlling and defending key maritime terrain.
