                            U.S. Marine with Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, Marine Aircraft Group (MAG) 12, 1st Marine Air Wing (MAW) teaches the functions of a LVSR MKR16 Tractor to Edward Patterson, middle, a Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS)/High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) Crewmember and Jacob day, right, a payload delivery system driver, both U.S. Army Specialist with 5-3 Long Range Firing Battalion, 3rd Multi-Domain Task Force (3MDTF), at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, August 29, 2025. This training was conducted to familiarize both units with the unique equipment each force utilizes, providing mutual understanding and enhancing cohesion between the Marine and Army units for future joint operational effectiveness. 3MDTF will use the LVSR MKR16 as a prime mover for the Typhon system during Resolute Dragon 25.
