U.S. Air Force Airmen 1st Class Logan
Kershner, a client systems technician assigned
to the 332nd Expeditionary Communications
Squadron, sets up ethernet cable during
exercise Agile Spartan 25.2 in the U.S. Central
Command area of responsibility Aug. 24, 2025.
Ethernet cable is a critical component of a
communications fly-away kit, enabling rapid
deployment of tactical communications to
establish an operations center. Agile combat
employment shifts airpower generation from
large, centralized bases to networks of smaller,
dispersed locations, which depend on rapidly
deployed communications networks to
synchronize forces across dispersed sites. (U.S.
