YOKOSUKA, Japan (September 11, 2025) - A group of petty officers third class takes the E-5 Navy-Wide Advancement Exam (NWAE) at Commander, Fleet Activities Yokosuka’s C2 Auditorium. The NWAE is a biannual exam that tests Sailors’ rating-specific knowledge for advancement to the next paygrade. For over 75 years, CFAY has provided, maintained, and operated base facilities and services supporting the U.S. 7th Fleet’s forward-deployed naval forces, tenant commands, and thousands of military and civilian personnel and their families.
