Soldiers from 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Mobile Brigade Combat Team “Rakkasans,” 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) enter and clear a trench during Platoon Live Fire Exercises at Fort Knox, Kentucky, August 18, 2025. The live fire training was part of a larger exercise, called Operation Hard Knox, which in addition to platoon collective training certification, trained Soldiers in command post operations, hasty deployment/redeployment, and included a team leader academy.
