Yorktown, Va. (September 6, 2025) Visitors to a First Responders Marketplace event at Yorktown’s Riverwalk Landing area interact with some of the specialized equipment utilized by Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) Two – Detachment Yorktown. This annual event brought together various first responder organizations serving the Yorktown, Virginia area. EODMU 12 provides operational EOD capability to include the location and identification, rendering safe, recovery, field evaluation, and disposal of all explosive ordnance. U.S. Navy EOD is the world’s premier combat force for eliminating explosive threats so the Fleet, Nation and allied partners can fight and win when called on.
