Sgt. 1st Class Charles Armstead, retired, from Needville, Texas, takes a lap during a cycling practice in preparation for the 2013 Warrior Games, May 7, 2013. It will be Armstead's first year participating in the games. He hopes to take home a medal in cycling, sitting volleyball, or wheelchair basketball. Since 2010, the Warrior Games have brought together wounded, ill or injured service members to compete in a goodwill competition. This year, the Warrior Games will include wounded warriors from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Special Operations Command and the United Kingdom.
