Lt. Col. Danny Dudek, Warrior Transition Command deputy chief of staff, Alexandria, Va., warms up before cycling training, May 7, 2013. Dudek, along with 49 other Army wounded warriors, will be representing the Army in the upcoming 2013 Warrior Games. Since suffering spinal injury in Baghdad in 2007, Dudek has participated in a wide variety of adaptive reconditioning activities, including hand-cycle races, triathlons, and two Army Ten-Milers. Since 2010, the Warrior Games have brought together wounded, ill or injured service members to compete in a goodwill competition. This year, the Warrior Games will include wounded warriors from the Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Special Operations Command and the United Kingdom.
