Soldiers is the Higher Headquarters Troop, Support Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, tests their Human Resources processes inside a tactical container at Amberg Training Area, Germany, during exercise Saber Junction 25, Sept 6, 2025. To ensure soldiers who were notionally killed or wounded can be properly accounted for and replaced at other training sites, the HR team meticulously reviews each individual case, verifying personnel status, updating accountability systems, and generating replacement actions in accordance with U.S. Army procedures. This process ensures units maintain operational strength across dispersed locations, reflecting real-world battlefield personnel management challenges. Hosted by the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, collaborative exercises such as Saber Junction allow U.S. to work alongside its Allies and Partners. Lessons learned will inform updates, modifications and revisions to future rotations. (U.S. Army National Guard Photo by Staff Sgt. Sean Ferry, 114th Public Affairs Detachment)
