Crew members of an MH-65 Dolphin helicopter, assigned to Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, conduct a fly over of a memorial paddle-out, hosted by the air station to honor the four fallen crew members of the CG-6505, Sept. 4, 2025. During a rescue basket hoist training on Sept. 4, 2008, a mishap occurred that claimed the lives of the four crew members and prompted changes within the Coast Guard's aviation practices including improved hoist systems and enhanced communication methods between boat and flight crews.
