U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer 3rd Class Rodrigo Llanos places a lei on a memorial statue at Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point, Sept. 4, 2025, to honor the lives of the four helicopter crew members of the CG-6505, who perished on Sept. 4, 2008, after a mishap occurred during a rescue basket hoist. Coast Guard personnel assigned to Air Station Barbers Point gathered at the memorial to honor their fallen crew members with a workout, a formal ceremony, and a paddle out.
