    Navy Wounded Warrior

Chief Gunner's Mate Jeannette Tarqueno, assigned to Naval Surface Group Middle Pacific, is steadied by her swim coach before diving into the pool at the Olympic Training Center in preparation for the 2013 Wounded Warrior Games. The Warrior Games includes competitions in archery, cycling, seated volleyball, shooting, swimming, track and field, and wheelchair basketball. The goal of the Warrior Games is not necessarily to identify the most skilled athletes, but rather to demonstrate the incredible potential of wounded warriors through competitive sports. More than 200 wounded, ill, or injured service members from the U.S. and U.K. armed forces are scheduled to compete in the Paralympics-style competition May 11-16.
