Seabees assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 11 and Underwater Construction Team (UCT) 1 participate in a Field Exercise (FEX) in which the battalion is evaluated in various areas of readiness prior to a deployment cycle. NMCB 11 is a Seabee battalion specializing in contingency construction, disaster response, and humanitarian assistance. UCT-1 is prepared to execute underwater construction tasking in both permissive and non-permissive environments and in climates ranging from the the Tropics to extreme cold weather.
