An MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, attached to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron 70 embarked aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Bainbridge (DDG 96), deploys its airborne low frequency sonar system transducer in the Barents Sea in support of anti-submarine warfare operations above the Arctic Circle, Aug. 26, 2025. Bainbridge, as part of Carrier Strike Group 12, is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations to support the warfighting effectiveness, lethality and readiness of U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and defend U.S., Allied and partner interests in the region.
