U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Sergio Velazquez, assigned to the Joint Multinational Readiness Center, performs at the weapons assembly lane during the Joint Multinational Training Command (JMTC) Best Warrior Competition at the Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, May 9, 2013. The four-day competition challenges soldiers and noncommissioned officers - all of who have previously competed to be named the best in their units, to prove their skills in military knowledge, leadership, and endurance - in the warrior tasks and drills critical to success and survival on the modern battlefield. The winners will go on to compete in the Europe-wide U.S. Army Europe's (USAREUR) Best Warrior Competition beginning August 2013.
