SEMBACH, Germany – U. S. Army Brig. Gen. Roger Giraud, commander of Medical Readiness Command, Europe and director of Defense Health Network Europe, hosted a visit by professional staffers from the U.S. Senate Armed Services Committee Aug. 27. Part of the staff delegation’s multipurpose visit to Europe was to gain a better understanding of how overseas military treatment facilities and theater medical commands work together in building medical readiness for U.S. Army medical personnel. The staff delegation also visited Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, U.S. Army Medical Materiel Center, Europe (USAMMC-E), 68th Theater Medical Command, DoDEA Europe Headquarters and the U.S. Air Force 86th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Ramstein Air Base.
