U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Roger Kolas, civil affairs assigned to the 451st Civil Affairs Battalion, writes notes during a key leader engagement May 6, 2013, at Price Barracks, Belize. The civil affairs team meets with key leaders and local communities to assess host-nation capabilities as part of an exercise known as New Horizons. New Horizons is a training exercise providing medical and dental treatment as well as constructs needed structures, such as classrooms, throughout Belize.
