Civil affairs service members from the U.S. Army and Marine Corps write notes during a key leader engagement with Belize Defense Force Chief of Staff Lt. Col. Raymond Shepherd May 6, 2013, at Price Barracks, Belize. The civil affairs team meets with key leaders and local communities to assess host-nation capabilities as part of an exercise known as New Horizons. New Horizons is a training exercise providing medical and dental treatment as well as constructs needed structures, such as classrooms, throughout Belize.
