    U.S. Marine Corps veteran Cpl. Leighton Willhite, bottom, a combat veteran who served during World War II touches the Sherman Tank he operated during the Battle of Iwo Jima during a reunification ceremony hosted by the National Museum of the Marine Corps at the Museum Support Facility in Dumfries, Virginia, Aug. 15, 2025. Willhite was reunited with the Sherman tank he operated during the Battle of Iwo Jima, before it undergoes restoration and is placed on display at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
