U.S. Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sgt. Lisa Marshall, a career planner with Manpower Management Enlisted Assignments Branch, Manpower and Reserve Affairs, shows images of the team she was a part of that excavated the tank to Marine Corps veteran Cpl. Leighton Willhite at the Museum Support Facility in Dumfries, Virginia, Aug. 15, 2025. Willhite was reunited with the Sherman tank he operated during the Battle of Iwo Jima, before it undergoes restoration and is placed on display at the National Museum of the Marine Corps.
