Firefighters from San Francisco International Airport partnered with U.S. Air Force firefighters during a live-fire training of U.S. Air Force firefighters at Travis Air Force Base, California, Aug. 14, 2025. The exercise exposed the firefighters to the heat, smoke, and urgency of a simulated aircraft fire, reinforcing essential rescue and suppression skills required for Federal Aviation Administration certification.
