A Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) is craned onto a flatbed truck as part of Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) Farah's retrograde efforts on FOB Farah, May 6. The PRT's retrograde efforts are part of a larger effort by U.S. forces to reduce the number of bases and retrograde equipment and material before the end of the ISAF mission in 2014, while ensuring that troops, employees and contractors have the amenities and services necessary to complete the mission. PRT Farah's mission is to train, advise, and assist Afghan government leaders at the municipal, district, and provincial levels in Farah province Afghanistan. Their civil military team is comprised of members of the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). (U.S. Navy photo by Lt. j.g.
