Smith Field airport, North Carolina, July 31, 2025. Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point conducted military aircraft mishap familiarization training for area emergency responders from Craven, Carteret, Jones, Pamlico and Lenoir Counties to provide guidance and insight to the civilian agencies to ensure safe and effective operations at the scene of a military aircraft mishap or off-field landing incident.
