U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers maneuver down a trail toward a hostile camp during Operation Serpent Clipper in support of Emerald Warrior 2013 May 2, 2013, at the John C. Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. During the operation, soldiers infiltrated a simulated hostile camp, eliminated the enemy threat and saved a hostage. Emerald Warrior is an annual two-week joint/combined tactical exercise sponsored by U.S. Special Operations Command designed to leverage lessons learned from operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom to provide trained and ready forces to combatant commanders.
