Challengers of the Army's Mangudai challenge come to parade rest, along Joint Base Lewis-McChord's Shoreline Beach, as they await their certificates of completion after spending three days marching in full combat gear, participating in physically and mentally strenuous events, having very little food, and no sleep. The Mangudai contained enlisted members of the Army, Coast Guard and Air Force to gather and test their skills as military members and leaders in events that demanded physical and mental stamina.
