Acting Defense Health Agency Director Dr. David Smith and Senior Enlisted Leader U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Tanya Johnson awarded DHA staff members during an employee recognition ceremony July 17, 2025, in Falls Church, Virginia. Pamela Nash-Young received the DHA People’s Choice Award for the 4th quarter 2024. She serves in the office of general counsel in Falls Church, Virginia. Nash-Young helped organize a Global Ethics Day at Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center and created a period of instruction and research poster on the intersection of legal and ethics matters in healthcare settings for the event. Instruction highlighted the legal basis for minor consent under Virginia law in emergency situations as well as for sexual and reproductive health matters.
