Acting Defense Health Agency Director Dr. David Smith and Senior Enlisted Leader U.S. Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Tanya Johnson awarded DHA staff members during an employee recognition ceremony July 17, 2025, in Falls Church, Virginia. Patricia Bredlau received the DHA Rising Leader award for the 4th quarter 2024. She serves in the office of the general counsel at Blanchfield Army Community Hospital, Fort Campbell, Kentucky. She has been a leader in keeping all new employees informed of updates in health law and legal issues they run across through a Teams feature allowing communications through the new hires. Her efforts with the new attorney team communication tool have resulted in high quality, more timely advice to military hospitals and clinics across the agency.
