A simulated aeromedical evacuation participant is photographed on a Royal Air Force A400M Atlas aircraft, stationed at Royal Air Force Brize Norton, while participating in the U.S. Air Force’s 2025 Department-Level Exercise series at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, July 18, 2025. U.S. Airmen, along with personnel from the Royal New Zealand Air Force, RAF and Royal Australian Air Force, held an AE training in a time-sensitive environment to demonstrate patient-loading capabilities, showcase ground coordination and evaluate the personnel required to accomplish the mission efficiently. The DLE series includes all branches of the Department of Defense, along with Allies and partners, employing more than 400 joint and coalition aircraft and more than 12,000 personnel at more than 50 locations across 3,000 miles.
