U.S. Army Lt. Col. Tyler Eikenberry, State Army Aviation Officer (SAAO), D.C. Army National Guard Aviation Command provides orientation flights for DC Homeland Security and Emergency Management Agency partners at Davison Army Airfield, Fort Belvoir, Va., on July 29, 2025. Maj. Gen. John Andonie, Commanding General (Interim), D.C. National Guard was accompanied by Clint Osborn, DC HSEMA Director; Dion Black, DC HSEMA General Counsel; Jenna Thorpe, Action Officer in the Office of the Director at DC HSEMA; Hannah Winant, DC HSEMA Emergency Manager, and Marcus Hunt, Director of D.C. Govt. Operations-DCNG. In addition to a capabilities and safety brief, District leaders learned more about DCARNG medical evacuation assets and the integral role that interagency partnerships play in ensuring residents' safety and security during crises.
