U.S. Army Spc. Zachary Dixson, with the 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team uses a spotting scope to watch for simulated enemy combatants during an exercise at the Joint Multinational Readiness Center in Hohenfels, Germany, on March 21, 2012. The training was part of a mission rehearsal exercise conducted by the 173rd Airborne Brigade in preparation for a deployment to Afghanistan. The exercise is intended to develop combat skills, counterinsurgency tactics and multinational partnerships among forces of the United States, Albania, Bosnia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia.
