Israeli Minister of Defense Shaul Mofaz (right) meets with Secretary of Defense Donald H. Rumsfeld (foreground) in the Pentagon on Nov. 4, 2005. The talks centered on a number of bilateral security issues of particular interest to both nations. Rumsfeld offered his thanks to Mofaz for the assistance Israel has offered in helping the U.S. deal with the problem of improvised explosive devices in Iraq. Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Danny Ayalon (center) joined Mofaz and Rumsfeld for the talks.
