Tõnis Sõnum and Rainer Järvella, directors with the Estonian Defense Resources Agency, visit the 163d Attack Wing at March Air Reserve Base, Calif., July 24, 2025, as part of the Military Reserve Exchange Program (MREP). During their visit, Sõnum and Järvella received a mission briefing, toured the Hap Arnold Innovation Center, and conducted a full platform walkthrough of the MQ-9 Reaper aircraft, including a munitions overview. The MREP selects U.S. National Guard and Reserve members from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps for one-for-one exchanges with personnel from NATO allied countries. The program aims to enhance interoperability, strengthen partnerships, and support professional development by integrating participants into host-nation reserve forces. Preceding this visit, Master Sgt. Richard Glover from the 163d Operations Support Squadron was exchanged for Private Mart Rae of the Estonian Defense League Cyber Defense Unit.
