A stability slab was recently poured in preparation for the concrete foundation of the Mississippi Bayou Drainage Structure, as part of the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain contract 108. Drainage structures are essential components of the WSLP project, playing an important role in managing water flow and allowing natural tidal flow to reduce impacts to wetlands inside the system.
