Staff Sgt. David Dunbar, Fort Meade Law Enforcement Activity, instructs military police from across the National Capital Region, including the 289th Military Police Company, 947th Military Police Company and Fort Belvoir Law Enforcement Activity, on exposure to oleoresin capsicum (OC) spray, at Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C., on July 23, 2025. In order to understand how to employ the non-lethal measure and to familiarize themselves with the effects of the spray, the Soldiers were exposed to OC spray and conducted a training lane with various tasks, such as unarmed strikes, baton strikes, giving orders to and subduing a hostile subject, and decontamination.
